I chose to design restaurant carpet prints under La Manufacture Cogolin located in France. I was drawn to their story and deep roots in European design since the company started in 1924. They focus on keeping hand craft alive by using 19th century looms and hand techniques. I took inspiration from the Art Deco movement and European design. I also looked at other hand techniques, like crochet, and the various floral motifs that can be created through the knitting process to further inspire this collection of prints and patterns.

For this upholstery project, I chose to design for the interdisciplinary design studio Work + Sea. I first came across them in an Architectural Digest article interviewing the head of Man Repeller, Leandra Medine showcasing her new Manhattan loft. Work + Sea created a custom graphic and tropical wallpaper for her living room. I took inspiration directly from Medine's "French, eclectic mix" and Work + Sea's various interior make overs in the best neighborhoods of Manhattan. I also took influence from Japanese floral prints and seascapes, including that of lobster rope to create an elevated and eccentric pattern collection for the home of a city fashion guru who wants to showcase her boldness out in the city streets and within her home.
