PURITY
Chose a virtue or vow and explore how to express it through color, composition, and shape
Materials: Pigment on 70x40" canvas
PRINT MAKING: ETCHING TECHNIQUE
I combined my etching skills and fabric skills to create a collection of botanical prints. In the background, I imprinted a piece of fabric on the plate. I then covered the plate in hard ground, so I could draw my botanical design on top of the textural background. With oil paint, I created two colors and then combined the two to have a cohesive third print.
Materials: Hard ground and soft ground etching on copper plate, printed on Japanese paper
COLOR THEORY
Explored complementary color theories through medium of painting.
These basic skills have helped me to better understand color and towards fabric mediums.
Materials: Acrylic paint on 9”x12” multimedia paper
